Whipped Indigo Body Butter DIY
Whipped indigo Body butter
This densely nourishing body butter is made from plants!
It’s perfect for those dry winter hands, and other body parts.
It works to soothe inflammations, irritations and indigo has even been shown in scientific studies to sooth eczema (1) and psoriasis (2)
A little goes a loong way.
Ingredients
3 oz indigo oil (recipe here)
.5 oz sal butter (get it here)
.5 oz shea butter (get it here)
2 oz cocoa butter (get it here)
Essential oils if you like, I used sandalwood and myrrh for their skin benefits and aromatics.
a pippette bag if desired for a pretty look (get it here)
containers (get some here)
To make
Melt butters in a heat proof bowl over a double boiler.
Once melted remove from heat and add Indigo oil and essential oils if using (I used 10 drops)
Set in freezer for about 5-10 minutes
To just chill to a point you can whip it.
Remove from freezer and beat until nice and creamy.
At this point you can scoop it into jars or put it into a pipette
and pipe into jars for a fancy look.
Cap, label, use and gift!!!
