Tahitain Vanilla Bath Oil Recipe
Tahitain Vanilla Bath Oil Recipe (to purchase go here)
This heavenly scented bath oil is a delicious treat to any bath time experience
Vanilla is super soothing to skin and senses. While you can use madagascar vanilla, Tahitian vanilla is one of the most phenomenal aromas on earth and makes the most magical of bath oils.
Sunflower oil is highly moisturizing and full of wonderful skin nourishing plant phenols
While you can make this oil without the emulsifying wax I like to use it to break up the oil across the bath as seen in this photo
Emulsifying the oil also allows it to create a perfectly moisturizing bathing experience without leaving an oily residue on your skin.
Ingredients
4 oz Organic sunflower oil (get some here)
1/2 teaspoon Plant derived emulsifying wax (get some here)
1 teaspoon Organic tahitian vanilla (get some here)
Containers that won’t leak (get some here)
To make
melt your emulsifying wax in a heat proof container over a double boiler
add sunflower oil and heat a little longer until oil and wax are incorporated.
Remove from heat, add vanilla and blend well.
Pour into containers, cap (if you're using corks for tops make sure they are pushed in well or they will leak.) label. Use, share or gift!
To use, simply pour Tahitian Vanilla Bath Oil into the bath tub under hot running water, emerge, enjoy!
