Lavender Syrup, simple syrup for lattes or steamers.
I very rarely consume sweets aside from fruit, but occasionally I’ll get a hankering for a lavender latte.
Turns out I can make it at home exactly how I like it (super strong) and I never have to worry about the barista accidentally putting cows milk in instead of almond milk.
Here’s my recipe, feel free to adjust to your preferences, but as I mentioned I like it super strong and not too sweet.
Ingredients;
1/2 cup filtered water
1/2 cup organic sugar
1/4 cup lavender or lavindin buds
Method;
Measure all ingredients into a cooking pot,
set over high heat and stir until sugar is dissolved, as soon as a boil is reached remove from heat and let sit 15 minutes.
Strain into a jar with a lid.
Keeps up to a week in the refrigerator.
I use 1-3 teaspoons in my almond milk lattes.
Works great in tea and in fluffys (steamers) for children.
I'd love to hear how you like to use lavender syrup, comment below and let me know!!
